Islamabad: Gold & Gems Art Promotion Council of Pakistan (GGAPCP) participated in a ceremony held at a local hotel in connection with India’s 67th Republic Day.
GGAPCP president Muhammad Ahmad, vice-president Muhammad Alamgir and Joint Secretary Shahid Mahmood took part in the ceremony.
Indian government had invited GGAPCP in recognition of its working in gems and jewellery sector.
On the occasion, GGAPCP was the only organization which was invited there in recognition of its working in gems and jewellery sector.
Mr. Ahmad met Indian High Commissioner (designate) Shri Gautam Bambawale and PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the ceremony.
Mr. Khan assured his full support to GGAPCP and said his government was establishing a value-addition centre to introduce local gems stone in the international market. The Indian High Commissioner also assured the organization his full support and cooperation to promote the gems and jewellery sector in India.
